Distant twinkle is a third etude taken from the Pseudaria, a suite, which contains twelve rather loosely associated etudes. A specific journey through time and a review of different techniques commonly used in electronic music. From transformations of a homogeneous acoustic material, through the use of analog synthesizers, a finally – advanced digital processing. Distant twinkle is based exclusively on transformations of acoustic material - both purely instrumental (exotic drum recordings) and bruits extracted from various wooden objects. While the final sound exposed definitely electronic character, there is no true synthetic sound (in the strict sense) in this etude.
