This work is inspired by the poem "Midsummer Night" by Ann Lauterbach. There are three sound sources that the listener hears: The live cello sound coming from the stage; The real-time computer manipulated sound of the cello coming out of the 4 speakers surrounding the audience and the prerecorded voice of the poet also coming out of the speakers. The cellist plays from a score and his performance affects the way the electronics sound.
