A mesh consisting of meticulously woven threads will fray when by mechanical force the elastic capacity exceed. The present time, more than any mesh, is impermeable and, although elastic as physical matter, it is inapprehensible in its entirety. Esgarçadura do Presente work with this principle: through expansions and contractions of the various sound parameters, contrapuntal meshes progressively expand sound objects previously heard in a moment that, at first, are practically incomprehensible in listening to the present. The stretching of these objects sometimes reaches complete saturation (the extreme point before the mesh tears), however, windows are opened for other objects still unexplored.
