Education
Born in 1989, in Bryansk. Began to compose music since the age of 8. Graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory (2014) and now she is in postgraduate study in Moscow State Conservatory in the classes of Professors Y. Vorontsov (composition) and F. Karayev (instrumentation).
Competitions
Laureate of the national contest «Young talents of Russia» (Moscow, 2007, I Prize). In 2006 took part in concerts of the International «Wind rose» festival in Spain (Algeciras). In 2013 and 2014 was a finalist of the national competition of radio «Orpheus» (Moscow), in 2015 and 2018 – winner of that competition. The piece by Alina Podzorova “Dell’Arte” was presented at Rostrum 2015. The piece by Alina Podzorova “Another sky” was presented at Rostrum 2018.
Master classes
She took part in a number of workshops and masterclasses: for example, the III International Academy of young composers in the city Tchaikovsky (Russia, 2013), the Workshop for young composers in the city Mazsalaca (Latvia, 2014), the International masterclasses on contemporary music Impuls Academy (Graz, 2015)
She attended the lessons of Jean-Luc Hervé (France), Antoine Beuger (Netherlands), Oscar Bianchi (Italy-Switzerland), Sandeep Bhagwati (India-Germany), Klaus Lang (Austria), Dieter Ammann (Switzerland), Francesco Filidei (Italy) as well as cooperated with “Divertimento Ensemble” (Milan, Italy).
Editions
Some of her works were published by «Music» edition within the collection of «Piano pieces of young composers» (2006).
Performers
The works of Alina Podzorova have been performed in Perm, St. Petersburg, Moscow (Russia), Milan (Italy), Graz (Austria) on such musical stages as the Moscow State Philharmonic hall, the Moscow House of Composers, the St. Petersburg House of Composers, the St. Petersburg State Philharmonic hall. Her music was performed by MEMM (Moscow Ensemble of Modern Music), Studio for New Music (Moscow, Russia), Divertimento Ensemble (Milan, Italy), the State symphonic Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra (Russia), St.Petersburg Symphony Orchestra.
Opera and ballet music. Musical theater Alina's Podzorova
In 2017 in frame of Laboratory “CoOPERAtion” she has written the chamber opera “Apnoe” (Libretto by Gulnara Sapargalieva) premiered at Stanislavsky-and-Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theater (Moscow) in October 2017.
In 2018 she has written music for latvian folk dance spectacle "Kāzas-Kāziņas'' (latv. - wedding) [choreographer Diana Paramonova]. It was held in the Ziyemelblazma palace (Riga, Latvia).
In 2019 at the Diaghilev's festival (Perm) in philharmonic hall "Triumph" there was the premiere of the new opera of Alina Podzorova "Periodic table" according to the eponymous book by P. Levi (libretto by Asya Chashchinskaya). In 2020, the premiere of the 3-stroke opera-drama "Apnoe" (libretto - G. Sapargalieva, staged by E. Vasileva) took place in the space "Lumiere Hall" (Moscow). In 2021, the Moscow premiere of the opera "Periodic table" took place in the Rachmaninovsky Hall of the Moscow Conservatory (directed by Nikolai Panin). In 2022, the premiere of the opera-fairy tale "The Princess and the Swineherd" (libretto: N. Kaidanovskaya, A. Podzorova based on the fairy tale by G.H. Andersen) took place in the Rachmaninovsky Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.
Alina is the author of symphonic, opera, vocal, chamber and instrumental scores.
