ABOUT ZODIAC MUSIC ACADEMY & FESTIVAL
Valdeblore, France (The Alps – Mediterranean Coast)
12th season: July 2 (arrival day) – July 15 (departure day), 2025
Founded and led by the internationally acclaimed Zodiac Trio, the Zodiac Music Academy & Festival invites students and young professionals to spend twelve days immersed in intense musical training and performances in one of the most stunningly beautiful corners of the world: the South of France, Côte d'Azur.
Tucked away in the heights of the French Alps, yet still part of the legendary Côte d'Azur, the Festival is based in the historic mountain town of Valdeblore. It boasts an internationally renowned faculty, acclaimed guest artists, and abundant performance opportunities throughout the region.
Each year, the Festival invites young composers to collaborate with their instrumental peers on the premiere of a new work for a small chamber ensemble, performed during the closing gala concert. Each composer is tasked with writing a piece for a chamber ensemble and is given ample time to rehearse in preparation for the premiere at the closing gala.
In addition to collaborating with ensembles, composers participate in daily composition seminars, work with instrumental faculty to deepen their understanding of the composer-performer relationship, and build valuable connections with their instrumental counterparts.
