Support from the Annette Vande Gorne Foundation for an Acousmatic Composition Residency at the Musiques & Recherches Studios
A grant of up to €2,500 to cover travel and accommodation costs for an acousmatic composition residency at a multiphonic studio of Musiques & Recherches in Ohain, Belgium.
Acousmatic music is a form of electroacoustic music that prioritises pure listening to sounds, independent of their visual or instrumental sources. Created primarily in a studio and played through loudspeakers, it explores complex sound textures, electronic transformations, and immersive atmospheres. Rather than relying on repetitive rhythms, it favours a free and organic flow, employing contrasts, dynamics, and spatial sound to transport the listener into an abstract, imaginary world.
Age limit: Applicants must be no older than 35 in 2025 or 2026.
