La Strada di Gino, Op. 8 (2024), is a symphonic overture commissioned by the Orchestre de Chambre de Lyon and dedicated to Gino Strada, founder of Emergency. Premiering on June 11, 2024, in Lyon, this 11-minute-30-second piece pays tribute to his humanitarian legacy.

Inspired by Shostakovich, Weinberg, Stravinsky, and Prokofiev, the overture contrasts two motifs—lower and upper strings—symbolizing diverse realities. A trumpet melody emerges, reflecting quiet resilience. A fugue develops, blending chromatic modal elements with tradition. The final coda unites past themes, celebrating Strada’s ideals.
