“Kukulkan” is an original piano etude by Isai Alvarado Juárez, inspired by the mythology of the Mayan god Kukulkan. This piece blends intricate melodies and powerful rhythms, reflecting the grandeur of ancient Mesoamerican culture. The etude’s ascending and descending scales, along with chromatic structures, create fog-like textures that evoke the mythical god's essence. These musical elements mirror the vision of El Castillo at Chichén Itzá, where light and shadow during equinoxes form the illusion of a serpent descending the pyramid.
