In my piece called Dialog mit Eötvös, I’m having a virtual conversation with Péter Eötvös. As one point of view, we communicate through the acoustic instruments of the symphony orchestra with fragmented “question-answer” musical formulas. On the other hand, I use a more realistic, but more theatrical and alienating compositional technique: I inserted electronic interludes between the multi-characteristic orchestral movements created from excerpts of Eötvös-interviews. My intention was to make my own musical meanings for the disorted, modulated or delayed audio texts.
