In this piece, my focus lies more on the intricate layers between the different realms that Virginia Woolf or Bernard have created, rather than solely on the character "Bernard" himself. In Woolf's novel, "The Waves," consciousness flows continuously among the six characters and the real world where Virginia exists, as well as the fictional realm within the novel or within Bernard’s mind. One can perceive a perpetual flux of time and space while reading the novel. This experience forms the central and fundamental theme of this piece. To establish a connection between the "layered" spaces in the novel and this composition, I have designated numerous different spaces within the physical world.
