"Marée Noire" is a piece written for 18 musiciens and premiered in Paris in May 2021. The creation of this piece was sadly inspired by the large oil spill that hit more than 2,000 kilometers off the coast of the Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil in 2019.

The piece, divided into three parts (I. The crossing of a slave ship; II. Storm and III. The invention of America), also evokes another sad Brazil's historical event, showing that for centuries the Atlantic Ocean has been the scene of tragedies and barbarism that marked Brazil and other countries in the continent.
