Laurence Gaudreau is a French-Canadian cellist based in the Netherlands. With her engaging personality and collaborative approach, she creates bridges across genres, intertwining contemporary, classical, experimental, pop, and electronic music. She is a founding member of the Flare Quartet, the cello octet Ensemble CelloWercken, the electroacoustic duo TIDE and the experimental early music duo Miss Mazzy & LAURENCE, as well as a member of the 1781 Collective in Berlin and the European Music Collective. She has also been involved with prize winning projects such as Her Soliloquy, a tango opera performance. Laurence has performed in festivals such as Gaudeamus, Bach Festival Dordrecht, Internationaal Cello Festival Zutphen, Grachten Festival, Le Guess Who and Cello Biennale Amsterdam and has been invited to perform in Germany, Belgium and Canada. She is also active in the pop scene, collaborating regularly with artists like LOEMA, Maria Sanchez, Praam and many others.
