Milica Zakić: piano


Milica was born in Belgrade. She completed her master's degree in Belgrade in the class of Professor L. Stanković as the best student in the piano department.
She was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Education and Youth of Serbia. She has also actively performed with Jovan Kolundzija since her studies in Belgrade. Since 2021 she has been studying and performing with Klangforum Wien at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the class of J. Ahonen.
She is a prizewinner of over 20 national and international competitions, such as the Serbian National Competition, "Young Virtuosos" in Sofia, the John Cage Award, etc. She has performed as a soloist with the orchestra in the Belgrade Philharmonic and has appeared on Serbian National Radio broadcasts.
She has performed as a soloist, ensemble and chamber musician on all the most important stages in her home country, in the Vienna Konzerthaus, Musikverein Wien, Graz Opera, Mumuth, Minoriten Saal, Frankfurt LAB, in the Great Hall of the Kolarac Foundation and on other stages in various countries. She regularly performs as a guest with ensembles for new music such as Klangforum Wien, Schallfeld, Cantando Admont, Wiener Collage, NeuRaum, etc.
In 2022, she has recorded a solo piece by B. Furrer and will perform his piece "Nuun" as a soloist in 2023. In summer 2023 she took part in the Lucerne Academy Festival Orchestra and in December she will perform an opera by Knussen with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
Since October 2023, Milica works as a pianist for the PPCM Vokal department at the University of Music of Graz.
