Born in Beirut, Dzovinar was initiated to music at a young age. Following private piano lessons, she enrolled at the Lebanese National Conservatory and later at the National Conservatory of Yerevan where she pursued a Master’s degree in Piano Studies. She actually lives in Paris where since 2015 she has studied Acoustic and Electroacoustic Composition with José Manuel López López, Jean-Luc Hervé, Philippe Mion, Nicolas Tzortzis, Martin Matalon, Yan Maresz, Luis Naón, Michael Jarrell. She has her Master's degree in Mixt Composition from the HEM Geneva.
Dzovinar Mikirditsian is the laureate of the Sayat Nova International Composition Competition 2016 for Iyerk, a musical piece for Tenor, Shvi and String Quartet.
During the course of her career, Mikirditsian has worked on a significant number of projects, composing music for choir and instrumental ensembles, videos, films, dance and theater performances. She has collaborated with artists such as Ghassan Halwani, Silvina Der Meguerditchian, Jasmin Irhaç, Chaghig Arzoumanian, Aurélien Zouki and the Academy of Aix en Provence.
Her music has been performed by the soloists of the national chamber orchestra of Armenia, the ensembles L'Itinéraire, Ars Nova, Arod Quartet, Suono Giallo, Proxima Centauri, Ecoute, L'Instant Donné, Contrechamps, among others
