Jorge Sad Levi
He was born in Buenos Aires in 1959. Composer, Researcher in Semiotics , Improviser, Concert organizer. Composes instrumental, acousmatic and mixed works,
Studied with Francisco Kröpfl and Marcelle Deschênes in Buenos Aires and Montreal respectively.
Composition residencies at Groupe de Recherches Musicales, París , Musiques & Recherches, Ohain , CCRMA, Stanford University , LIPM, Buenos Aires LIEM , Madrid , Phonos , Barcelona ,and Crane Lab , Bourgogne.
His music has been performed by Cuarteto Untref, Alessandra Rombolá, Josetxo Silguero , Linda Wetherill, James Baker , Fernando López Andujar, Reinhold Westerheide. Composed music for Multimedia works of Margarita Bali.
Has been awarded with the First Prize in Ciudad de Buenos Aires Contest and at the 3rd National Contest and Forum of Electroacoustic Music Córdoba.
He currently teaches Musical Semiotics at the University of Tres de Febrero and Electroacoustic Composition at the Alberto Ginastera Conservatory. His works are published by the Babel Scores ; Luscinia Discos, Alina Records and Plus Timbre.
