Composition contest with artistic residency "Ragazze e ragazzi. Salvemini 1990"

Composition competition with artistic residence "Ragazze e ragazzi. Salvemini 1990" - fifth edition.
The competition is open to Italian and foreign composers born on or after 1 January 1990 and who have turned 18 by 16 June 2025.
The selection of participants will be based on qualifications, on the curriculum and documentation sent with the application.
There is no registration fee for participation. Participants are required to pay a contribution of 250 euros to partially cover the costs of food and accommodation.

The following must be attached to the application:
a) a short curriculum (in Italian or English);
b) at least 3 scores of original pieces, without limitations on the ensemble (only accepted format
pdf). For pieces already performed, we kindly ask you NOT to send audio/video files, but only the link.
The results of the selection will be published by May 18, 2025 on the website.

By June 1, 2025, the selected composers must send the initial part - at least 2 minutes - of the piece for cello that they intend to complete during the artistic residency.
The three composers selected through this notice will participate in the artistic residency led by maestro Francesco Dillon and composer Paolo Aralla that will take place from 17 to 21 June 2025 in Valsamoggia (Bo).
The lessons will be held in Italian.
The pieces composed by the participants will be presented in first performance on 21 June in a concert held by maestro Francesco Dillon at the Oratorio di Oliveto (Bo) and included in the musical Festival “Corti Chiese e Cortili” 39th edition.
