The 2025 edition, promoted in collaboration with Kajimoto, is aimed at nominating a composition inspired by the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki tragedies, to be performed on I Musici's tour of Japan scheduled for next September 2025.
The theme of this first edition aims to contribute, with music and the emotions it arouses, to the long path of cultural regeneration of humanity after the most inhuman events in history. The focus of the project is the warning for world peace not yet achieved.
The aim of the Call for Scores is also to stimulate and promote the creation and dissemination of new compositions for string orchestra that will also enrich the repertoire of I Musici, alongside works composed or arranged for the ensemble by composers such as N. Rota, E. Porrino, V. Bucchi, L. Bacalov, E. Morricone, R. Sakamoto, P. Niro, R. Bellafronte, Han-Ki Kim, L. Pecchia and many others.
Participation is open to composers of all ages and nationalities.
