The opportunity to become part of a whole new generation on stage: the young Europe is here, now.
From 15 to 18 May 2025, 9 selected shows will be staged in Cividale del Friuli for the fourth edition of Europe’s most under30 festival.
Applications are open to artists and ensembles under 30 in the fields of theatre, music, dance and circus from 27 European countries: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine.
All applications will be examined by a group of curators under 30 built thanks to the collaboration between mittelfest and some institutions and training bodies of Friuli Venezia Giulia region: Accademia Eleonora Duse – Centro Sperimentale di Cinema e Arti Performative, Associazione culturale Arearea, Conservatorio Statale di Musica Giuseppe Tartini di Trieste, Conservatorio Statale di Musica Jacopo Tomadini di Udine, Fondazione Luigi Bon, Università degli Studi di Trieste, Università degli Studi di Udine, SNG Nova Gorica (Slovenia), Associazione culturale Circo all’incirca, Convitto Nazionale Paolo Diacono, Istituto Tecnico Arturo Malignani, Scuola di Danza Erica Bront, Teatro Club Udine – Palio Teatrale Studentesco.
Nine titles will be selected from the proposals received (2 theatre, 2 music, 2 dance, 2 circus and one show that may belong to one of the aforementioned categories) to be scheduled between 15 and 18 May 2025 in Cividale del Friuli.
A jury of experts will also be present during the festival to evaluate the performances on stage.
The same group of curators under 30 will select, during the days of mittelyoung, 3 shows to be included in the playbill of Mittelfest Tabù. The selected performances will be scheduled between 18 and 27 July 2025 in Cividale del Friuli.
