For Composers born after January 1, 1987
With the aim of encouraging contemporary music, discovering young composers from all over the world and promoting their music, the Ensemble Écoute launches the VIIth Edition of the Ensemble Écoute Composition Competition.
Open to composers of all nationalities, born after January 1st, 1988, the candidates will have to submit TWO works for an ensemble of 5 to 18 instruments of free duration written after January 1st 2020. The prize-winning composer will receive 1700 euros to write a new piece of about 10/12 minutes for 6 to 8 musicians (instrumentation to be confirmed). The new piece will be premiered at one of the concerts of the 2024/25 or 2025/26 season of the Ensemble in Paris.
The competition submission works and application must arrive no later than Tuesday 31st, December 2024 by email at the following address : e.e.concourscomposition@gmail.com.
The jury will be conformed by composers Gérard Pesson (chairman), Stefano Gervasoni, Mathieu Bonilla (composer in residence 2020/22) and the artistic directors of the Ensemble, Fernando Palomeque and Rachel Koblyakov.
To participate, the candidate must become an adherent to the Association Ensemble Écoute for 2023 through an online payment of a 20€ fee.
