Scottish-born trumpeter, Christopher Roberts, gained a place at St. Mary’s Music School in 2007 to study the trumpet with Bede Williams. During this time he received a Diploma of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. While still at St. Mary's Music School, Christopher was fortunate enough to regularly perform, gaining professional experience with orchestras and ensembles in the UK and abroad. As a soloist he has performed all over the United Kingdom with concerti by Haydn and Telemann with the Milne-Graden Chamber Orchestra, Heisenberg Ensemble and the world renowned Choristers of St. Mary's Cathedral. From 2013-14, Christopher was an extra with The Scottish Sinfonia, and Principal Trumpet with Opera dei Lumi from 2014-15. After moving to Germany in 2015, Christopher undertook his Bachelor of Music at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Professor Urban Agnas and Professor Friedemann Immer. He was fortunate to gain experience working in a professional setting with the Orchester der HfMT Köln, European Brass Exchange, the Palestine Youth Orchestra and Carnyx Brass Ensemble and received training from members of the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, Ensemble Modern, Oslo Philharmonic, Ensemble Musikfabrik and the Gürzenich-Orchester. Since 2017, Christopher has been studying at King’s College London, where he undertakes lessons at the Royal Academy of Music.
