Song of Sorrow is a composition for the concept album Divinities of the Earth and the waters for Mimika Orchestra which deals with a funeral ceremony in the preindustrial Balkans addressing the sociopolitical conflicts and resolutions, paralleling the contemporary world and perceived crisis. The piece draws inspiration from modern jazz and South Slavic folk music.
