Multidisciplinary artist, improviser and cellist, Carmen Kleykens Vidal is an eclectic artist who bases her work on the interaction of poetry, visuals, new technologies, improvisation and performance. She is cellist of the Barcelona Modern Ensemble, founder of groups such as Metafísica trio and multimedia composer and collaborator in international projects such as Nisaba Dúo or Evasión del Tacto. She has participated in festivals such as "Tartu Interdistsiplinaar", Sound Plasma Festival, Sampler, International course of Composition Barcelona Moder, Festival el Grec and so on. 
He has played with improvisers such as Axel Filip, Paul Pignon, Elena Perales, Agustí Fernández, Sergio Castrillón and Camila Nebbia among others.

He is currently studying the European Master of Contemporary Music CoPeCo (between 2020 and 2022 in Tallinn, Stockholm, Lyon and Hamburg), having previously studied at the ESMUC with Prof. Cristoforo Pestalozzi (Barcelona). He has taught with cellists such as Peter Bruns, Eric-Maria Couturier, Arnau Tomás among others. He is currently working on his Master's project under the tutelage of Michele Tadini, Jean Geoffroy and Greg Beller.
Currently working with Mark André for a monographic in Phonos, BCN in June.
