Sharing ideas and connecting people is what motivates Cláudia Carneiro to make music.


The young portuguese musician took her first musical steps in Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho under the guidance of Aldo Salvetti. She later began her studies with Professor Louise Pellerin at the Zürich University of the Arts, where she studies at the moment.


Cláudia has participated in various solo and chamber music masterclasses in Europe and America, having had the opportunity to learn from great artists such as Alberto Negroni, Eldevina Materula, Omar Zoboli, Ricardo Lopes and Radovan Vlatkovic.
As a student, she counts on the support of several foundations, namely the Fundação DGA, Eppur si muove, the Freundeskreis Musik, the Fondation ZHdK and the Bruno Schuler-Stiftung.

The oboist has toured Europe, Africa and Asia as a member of several orchestras, having worked with renowned conductors as Douglas Boyd, Johannes Schlaefli, Marc Kissoczy, Nazanin Aghakhani, Pedro Neves, Ralf Weikert and Sergio Alapont. Cláudia has also played as a soloist in Portugal and Switzerland. Currently, she holds the position of solo oboist in Orquestra da Costa Atlântica, in Portugal, and oboist/english hornist in City Lights Orchestra, in Switzerland. She plays in several orchestras and groups in Switzerland and Portugal, such as the Arc-en-Ciel Ensemble for contemporary music.
