Joachim Emidio was born in Ourinhos, southeast Brazil, and raised in São Paulo since five years old. By family incitement, at age seven began to study brazilian percussion with Ari Colares. Since then the interest for music have just expanded, playing and composing, also with the influence of your musicians sisters Bebel Ribeiro and Mariana Ribeiro, respectively flutist and violinist. With eleven formed his first band playing drumset. At age twelve started symphonic percussion classes with Alexandre Biondi, and afterwards with Heri Brandino. Since then, Joachim played at several students orchestras and festivals. In 2015 joined the PIAP group, resident at São Paulo State University, formed by John Boudler and directed by Carlos Stasi. With this group he had the opportunity to play more than 100 chamber pieces with percussion, including premieres. Since 2018 is part of Ateliê Contemporâneo, contemporary chamber music group created by Tiago Gati. Currently he also plays in Akrochordion, autoral jazz-fusion trio, and works solo repertoire for percussion.
