German-speaking and French-speaking linguistic and cultural areas
The Fonds Impuls neue Musik supports music projects that shape the exchange between the German-speaking and French-speaking linguistic and cultural areas with new ideas and network the contemporary music scenes in Germany, France and Switzerland. We are looking for composers, musicians, sound artists, performers and organizers who work in the field of tension between the German-French cultural areas.

Concerts and music theater productions, series or festivals, education projects, artist residencies and academies with a German-French-Swiss focus and sound art are supported. Hybrid projects consisting of events that take place live and digitally are also eligible. Projects must be developed and realized in Germany, in France, or in Switzerland, with the idea of exchange between the German-speaking and Francophone cultural areas at the core of the project. Projects that are developed and/or presented in at least two of the three countries are particularly eligible for funding. Special consideration will be given to residencies and environmentally conscious, resource-conserving projects that offer solutions in the spirit of sustainability.

The next application deadline is June 1, 2022, and projects may begin no earlier than September 01, 2022. The detailed eligibility criteria and application process are available on our website.
